Lichens & Plants : Clay Workshop

Join artist Kathryn Parsons to make miniature clay art inspired by lichens and plants. Take a close look at the structures, textures and forms of flora growing at Pick Triangle, a site previously used for fireclay extraction and now abundant in wildlife. You will be taught the basics of modelling before creating your own imaginary plants using air drying modelling clay and simple tools. At the end of the session you will be able to take your creation home with you.

This is a FREE workshop for adults. Capacity is limited so booking is essential. The session will be taking place outdoors, under cover and all materials will be provided. For further information and to book your place contact 01283 551211 or email blacktogreen@nationalforest.org.

Pick Triangle is on Mushroom Lane, opposite Albert Village Lake, Swadlincote. Further directions and parking details will be provided.
