Dawn Chorus Event

Enjoy the unique sounds of spring with a Dawn Chorus Walk led by Marion Farrell from Groundwork. This walk will provide a chance to appreciate and identify the multitude of song birds that can be heard across the Heart of the Forest. This training event is intended to develop the knowledge of those with an interest and commitment to supporting wildlife across the Heart of the Forest.

Dawn Chorus Training Event – bird sounds and sights will be in the form of a guided walk listening to the birds as they in start singing in the early hours. Tips will be given to help recognise each bird species as it trills away. Further information will be provided about the birds – what they eat, where they nest, why do they sing so loudly at dawn etc.  The walk will include a visit to YHA for breakfast. Sturdy footwear and warm/waterproof clothing will be required, bring binoculars if you have them.

Booking is essential (please note there are only 20 places available) direct with Marion Farrell on 07801 122 494 or email mfarrell@groundwork.org.uk.

This event is FREE to attend but breakfast is not included and will need to be purchased. (Full Breakfast at YHA costs £6.95)
