Fungi Printing

Join Black to Green for this 2-part printmaking workshop, creating imaginative prints inspired by fungi.

Saturday 14 October, 1-4pm & Sunday 15 October, 10am-1pm

On the Saturday we will be heading out on a fungi foray led by Ben Devine, to discover the magnificent fungi growing locally. At the end of the session we will take our finds back and set up some spore prints to leave overnight.

We will then return on the Sunday morning for a creative session led by artist Kathryn Parsons, making beautiful prints inspired by the fungi we collected. The workshop is aimed at beginners and will provide an introduction to simple printmaking techniques, using widely available tools and materials.  You’ll create your own printing blocks using craft foam, get to experiment with mono-printing and try out techniques using natural materials.

The indoor sessions will be held at Moira Village Hall. The fungi foray will involve a short drive to Newfields Trail, Moira. Car sharing will be available. Further details provided when booking.

Suitable for families, as well as adults. Children must be 7yrs +. The workshops are FREE but capacity is limited. To book your place contact blacktogreen@nationalforest.org or call 01283 551211.
