Industries Legacy to the Forest

Join this walk through what was once a heavily industrialised area to see how its developed into the green landscape that it is today. Led by Ian Malcolm the walk will take you from the YHA to Swains Park and Gresley Wood, taking in Albert Village Lake, then onto Boothorpe, via Hanging Hill and back to Moira – experiencing the amazing legacy that industry has left us and how the area is reverting back to nature in an incredibly short space of time.

This walk, which is taking place as part of The National Forest Walking Festival, will cover approx 6 miles and include 6 stiles.

Please book your free place in advance by contacting blacktogreen@nationalforest.org or call 01283 511211.
