Legacy of the Clay Industry Walk

At the Heart of the Black to Green transformation, enjoy panoramic views over what was a moonscape of clay-holes. Find out about the entrepreneurs of the industry and their approach to the workforce.

This walk is led by Dot Morson as part of the Black to Green Summer Walks programme. Please wear walking boots or walking shoes. Remember to bring any medication you may need, along with a drink & a snack. No dogs allowed.

Starting point – Albert Village car park (opposite the school) DE11 8HA

Distance –  3¾ miles, no stiles

Terrain – grassy paths, woodland rides, surfaced paths & bridleways occasionally muddy after rain.
