The Clay Legacy

Join Dot Morson for a Black to Green Walk as part of the National Forest Walking Festival.

Little remains of the former clay industry but this walk visits sites that were important in the 19th and 20th centuries for the production of drainage pipes. Today the area is part of the developing National Forest. The walk will include panoramic views west across South Derbyshire. The terrain will include woodland & field paths and a bridleway.

The route is approximately 4.75 miles, with no stiles. No dogs (unless guide dogs). Walking boots/sturdy footwear required.

Please book your place in advance as capacity is limited by emailing blacktogreen@nationalforest.org or call 01283 551211.
