Volunteer Day – Heart of the Forest Footpath Improvement
We are looking for volunteers to help with the last improvement tasks needed on some of the Heart of the Forest Footpaths. This work will consist of light tasks including clearing back vegetation, taking out old interpretation boards, old redundant posts and generally making the footpaths less cluttered. The session will be led by Marrion Farrell from Groundwork and will involve working along Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail in the Donisthorpe Woodland Park area.
Meet at the free car park next to Saint John the Evangelist Church, 46 Church Street, Donisthorpe, Swadlincote, DE12 7PY
If you would like to help please contact Marion Farrell –
mfarrell@groundwork.org.uk or 07801 122494
Please come in sturdy footware, old clothes and waterproofs. Bring a drink and snack, though Marion will provide the chocolate biscuits! If you have gloves please bring them but all tools and equipment will be provided. To take part no special skills are required as all health and safety training and supervision will be covered by Marion. Just bring yourself and lots of enthusiasm.
